DIY Lavender-Mint Body Wash

I love the smell of lavender and peppermint together. It is refreshing and relaxing.

I needed to replenish my supply of body wash. I figured I should combine those two scents together to make a rejuvenating body wash. It is super easy and takes more time to gather the ingredients than it does to actually make the body wash.

Lavender-Mint Body Wash

1/4 cup Sweet Almond Oil
1/4 cup raw honey
1/2 cup Castille soap
1 tsp Vitamin E oil
20 drops Lavender essential oil
15 drops Peppermint essential oil

Combine all ingredients in bottle. Shake to combine. I reused a foaming hand soap bottle so my body wash comes out foamy.

The body wash smells great and lathers up nicely. It leaves your skin soft and smelling subtly of lavender and mint. You could use other combinations of essential oils to make your own custom-smelling body wash.

Using Eucalyptus would be nice and spa-like. It would open up your breathing in the shower. I’ll have to try that next.

The best part about this body wash, aside from how lovely it smells, is that it is 100% chemical free and non-toxic. You know exactly what is in it. Just look at the ingredients. You can say everything. There aren’t any mystery words or chemicals. I love having the option of making my own daily beauty products. It makes me feel better knowing exactly what I am using on my body.

If you know better, you can do better. You shouldn’t have to sacrifice your health for beauty.
