Itchy bug bites

I love summer. I love being outside enjoying the long days. What I don’t love is the bugs that come at summer time. Those nasty little critters think that it is okay to go around biting people. Well, it’s not!

The bugs got to my husband and last night he asked me if we had any “After Bite”. We still had a stick from last year so he used it. As soon as he mentioned that his bites were itching I realized that I also had bug bites and they started itching. I don’t know what is in the store-bought brand, but I knew that I didn’t want to use it. That got me thinking that there must be a way to make a DIY “no more bug bite itch solution”. After some investigating I found out that there is!

I made a no-itch roller in a couple of minutes. It doesn’t sting like the store-bought stuff, it smells great and takes the itch away. I am not sure what is in the stuff we bought, but I know exactly what is in the roller that I made. There aren’t any crazy chemicals that try to combat the bite of a bug. There are 5 ingredients – that’s it!

Here’s the recipe:

No More Itchy Bug Bites

5 drops Lavendar essential oil
5 drops Purification essential oil
3 drops Peppermint essential oil
3 drops Copaiba essential oil
Carrier oil (I used Sweet Almond Oil)
10ml glass roller bottle

That’s it! It is way cheaper to make than the store-bought brand is to buy. I can whip it up at any time because all the oils are in the Premium Starter Kit. And, I know what I am putting on my skin.

Bring on summer!
